Q: SD card plugged into Mac is also a problem

This problem also occurs if you have an SD card plugged in. My was even encrypted. Once the SD was removed, the installation proceeded successfully.

There should be no external storage (except the BCA-created USB Installer, if used) when installing Windows on a Mac.
