Q: Battery Indicator is Always Illuminated

My low battery indicator is always illuminated on my watch if it's below 100% charge. Any ideas on how to fix?

Apple Watch, iOS 8.3

All you have to do is unpair the watch from your phone then pair again. I just bought an Apple Watch 42mm Stainless Steel and the red low battery indicator would show up on the top of the watch face at 96% battery life. I hope this helps someone.

    Hi

You are referring to the Disconnected status icon (this is not a "low battery indicator"):

    disconnected.gif

This icon is shown on your watch face (ie when viewing the time) whenever your Apple Watch has become disconnected from your iPhone (and also has not connected to Wi-Fi as a fallback).

Bluetooth disconnections can be normal, happening whenever the paired iPhone becomes unavailable (for example, if it is turned off or too far away). Your watch and iPhone should reconnect automatically a short while after being brought close together again.

For the best performance from your watch (including the most power-efficient communication between your watch and iPhone), keep both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi permanently enabled on your iPhone.

If your watch and iPhone do not reconnect automatically after being brought back within range of each other, then keep the devices close by each other and follow these steps until they do reconnect:

    • Check that both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your iPhone:
      • It may help to toggle Bluetooth off and on again on your iPhone (Settings > Bluetooth).
    • Check that Airplane Mode is not enabled on your watch:
      • When viewing the time on your watch, swipe up on the watch face > swipe left / right to the Settings Glance.
        • If the Settings Glance already states Connected and the symbol at the upper-right corner is a green phone symbol, then your watch is already connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth.
      • If your watch is not connected and Airplane Mode is turned on, tap the button to turn it off.
      • It may otherwise help to toggle Airplane Mode on and off again.
    • Restart both devices, turning both off together, then restarting your iPhone first:
      • To turn your watch off: press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider; drag it to turn off;
      • To turn it back on: press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.

To clarify: this should not be necessary - see my previous replies.
