I"ve been experiencing some strange problems with my 27in Thunderbolt display. The problems only seem to happen when I plug something into the back usb ports.
If I'm just using the screen nothing happens. It looks great. I have generally used the USB to charge my phone in the past. Now, however, when I plug in anything to the ports my phone charges for a little while and then stops. If I unplug it and plug it back in sometimes it works for a while sometimes it doesn't. The other ports don't seems to respond at all. They are dead. Sometimes when I try using the the ports back there the screen will start to flicker or go black all together.
I don't really use it often and haven't tried much to try and remedy the problem. I'd take it to the apple store but I'm just out of warranty.
Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

BTW I've tried using a couple of computers with it but I mostly use a Macbook Air running El Capitan
