Q: Importing OBS recordings (mp4) into FCPX

While I had some experience with FCP in high school, I have recently returned to it for editing commentary videos for my new YouTube channel. In attempt to spice the videos up a bit I have decided to include gameplay, recorded via OBS. The OBS and gaming is taking part on my desktop PC, and editing on my Macbook Pro. As you may know OBS exports as .mp4. Now I didn't think this would be an issue, as I had downloaded and imported .mp4 videos into FCP with ease, but now it is not working at all. Even mp4 files that I have imported in the past will no longer import. I have barely slept the past 4 days just researching and trying anything I can find, I have even tried MPEG Streamclip with no results. Honestly I am at wits end. I already have to deal with constant kernal panics and crashes, and this is just another roadblock. I am at the point where I am prepared to spend money on a video converter, but all the ones I have found seem sketchy. I am not paying 30$+ for a gamble. Any suggestions?

Please help, I am just so discouraged, and frankly desperate.

Thanks in Advance,

Marxsh

What does no results mean? Where you able to export a QuickTime movie?

If your experiencing kernel panics, it very likely related to something other than Final Cut Pro. Please take a look at this support doc.
