The app has to be coded/programmed to work with the Apple Pencil on the iPad Pro.

The functionality of the pencil is on a per app basis and not a normal, integral part of iOS.

If the app you are using doesn't mention support for the Apple Pencil, or any other third party stylus, then the app does not support any function of the Apple Pencil inside of the App.

If you are looking for Apple Pencil compatible apps, do a search in the iOS App Store for Apple Pencil Apps.

I just checked and Evenote is stated to support the Apple Pencil.

Maybe you should contact the developer of Evernote and ask them about how to get the Apple Pencil to work withn their app.

    Good Luck!

    Thanks MichelPM

Hope it is not the pencil itself?

    Cheers

Make sure the tip of the ApplevPencil is screwed on securely.
