Q: Problem with html in Mac Mail from email transfers from Windows

I transferred messages from my Windows outlook to a mac. When I view them in Mac Mail, the messages have lost there HTML format. They all have that coding throughout the message: e.g. the beginning of each is typically something like:

Content-type: multipart/mixed;

  boundary="B_3541034970_1961465572"

This message is in MIME format. Since your mail reader does not understand

this format, some or all of this message may not be legible.

--B_3541034970_1961465572

Content-type: text/plain;

  charset="UTF-8"

Content-transfer-encoding: 7bit

Is there any way to fix this for the tens of thousands of messages I am transferring from my Windows machine. Thanks, CD

    Are you still using Mountain Lion  10.8?

    How exactly did you transfer the messages?

    I am using El Capitan 10.11.3.

    I had the data in a local .pst file in Windows. I copied the .pst file and transferred it to the Mac in Outlook 2016 for Mac. I then uploaded the folders to iCloud. When I view the emails in iCloud folder in Mac Mail they have lost the HTML. When I view them through iCloud online they have lost the HTML. When I view mail created in Outlook 2016 for Mac on my desktop that have been saved to iCloud they are fine both online and in Mac Mail.

    I am beginning to suspect that something happened when I transferred from Outlook 2016 for Mac to iCloud.

    Actually. On second thought, I may have transferred the files from an Exchange Outlook that I had online with Go Daddy before I canceled the account. This was an .ost file. I downloaded the .ost file to my computer. I am trying to convert it to a .pst file. I am looking for a free converter to see if that was the problem. I am having trouble finding free one though.

    If these emails matter to you avoid the free converters, I'll suggest buying a copy of Emailchemy
