Dec 30, 2015 10:34 PM in response to mpreddby W_CAI,The same flickering problem happens to my mid-2015 15" RMBP. One of the replies mentioned that, for the 2015 models, the problem is with the discrete graphic card. There doesn't seem to be any solution yet, and let's see how long it takes for Apple to even notice this and start some sort of replacement and recall program...
PS. The application, gfxCardStatus, has disabled the feature to allow using the integrated graphic card, with a reasonable reason (see their website).

Jan 5, 2016 2:51 PM in response to n-v-gby Nakwenda,Hello,
My problem is gone for two days. My computer is repaired by magic, after not be touched for two days (I left off).
I think problem appears because of the update 10.11.2. Before, i didn't have any problem of screen flickering.
Does screen flicker begin when you updated el capitan from 10.11.1 to 10.11.2 ?

Jan 13, 2016 10:43 AM in response to mpreddby applenovice22,I have the same problem and from reading the advice from another thread I turn of the wifi on the macbook pro retina and the problem went away. Something to do with 2.4 ghz transmission and the macbook's antenna.
When I turn the wifi back on the problem continues.

Feb 1, 2016 6:08 PM in response to mpreddby worldtrooper,Add one more to the list.
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015). I'm not sure my issue is as frequent as many of you.
It happens 2-3 times a day (i work all day with the laptop). I noticed it while on the integrated graphic card.
I was hoping for a solution, but it seems like it hasn't been solved yet. I'm on a fresh install of El Capitan. Laptop is about a month old.
EDIT: i just noticed there is an update on El Capitan to 10.11.3. Hopefully this fixes it.

Feb 18, 2016 7:54 AM in response to mpreddby Matteo__1977,I have the same problem.
I bought a computer in november 2015 and after a few days it started flickering. It seems to happen mostly when I use imgur/reddit (possibly because I spend a lot of time on those!) A timeline of the issue:
1) Did clean install under apple genius suggestion, still flickers
2) Replaced motherboard, still flickers
3) Replaced computer.
Even with the new computer the screen flickers. It looks like it's the upper half mostly, but it might just be how it looks to me.
The fact that replacing the motherboard didn't improve the flickering makes me think it might be a software issue, so I am hoping that with updates it'll stop. In the meantime I'll buy apple care...
Please share if you manage to figure out the problem.
Thanks!

Feb 26, 2016 2:42 PM in response to mpreddby sweatshop.nl,Mid 2015 MB Pro Retina 15 inch. El Capitan.
Short flickering and a slightly shaking screen when i use the cursor to move items and when i zoom in and out in Adobe CC apps.
Connected to a Thunderbolt Display worse more often and more random.
Did all the stuff: clean install, pram etc etc. Went back to Yosemite and Adobe CS. Same problem.
Then i noticed that connected to my old Cinema Display all above disappeared!
Now i'm working on my Mid 2015 MB Pro Retina screen with the mini display cable from the Cinema Display in the macbook's Thunderbolt 2 port.
And all the flickering and shaking screen is gone! I can't understand the correlation and it's not the solution cause i can't drag the
Cinema Display with me all the time. With this comes a new phenomenon: a overheated macbook and a fan that doesn't stop.
Can someone make chocolate out of this? Thanks!

Mar 7, 2016 9:26 AM in response to mpreddby SaikoPuristu,Exactly same problem, sometimes it evens turns some grey screen with some lines, audio goes for few more seconds and then freeze and only restart helps. One guy left here video with Football Manager, same for me, in FM16 easiest to reproduce, one hour of playing and it will 100% crash. So many people have this problem, no resolution yet?

Mar 15, 2016 11:43 PM in response to SaikoPuristuby Chriz1984,Yesterday my Macbook Pro Crashed 3 times with a flickering Display and Lines / Fractures on the Screen.
Hardwaretest says "No Error".
I Am usually working with an external Monitor, i didn´t have any problems before. Yesterday i worked on the Mac itself.
Apple Support told me, if the Hardware is okay, i should have to wipe the disk and install a clean os.
This is actually not possible, because i have to work, and i cant imagine it will solve the problem.

Mar 18, 2016 5:48 PM in response to mpreddby LVR01,I've been to several forums and such on the web looking for an answer as this has been an increasingly frustrating issue for me with my Mac. I found on site that said it could be related to WiFi.
While there can me a host of things that cause screen flicker...
Using my 2012 Retina 15inch MB Pro and an iPhone hotspot.. I just confirmed the described issue, in my case, is associated with WiFi. I turn WiFi off (on the Mac) and the flicker stops. It doesn't matter if the hotspot is enabled or not on the iPhone. I turn WiFi on and the flickering starts again in seconds. I don't see a need to replace motherboards and displays as other than the flickering everything works fine. It sounds like a firmware or software update associated with WiFi is in order... Can the super techs at Apple confirm this?

Mar 20, 2016 3:11 PM in response to mpreddby ope9843485093845034985,I've just received my mid 2015 Mac Book Pro (15" retina display) back from the Apple Store. These were the symptoms of my flickering:
- I was running a few native apps and a few java based apps -- especially SQLDeveloper provoked the flickering a lot
- whether I had it powered from the battery or through cable, the flickering was happening
- no flickering, when I connected a second or third external screen -- by no flickering I mean on any screen including the built-in one
- I cloned my computer -- using Carbon Copy Cloner -- onto another mid 2015 Mac Book Pro and there was no flickering
For me, that was pretty clear that it is a hardware issue. The Apple technicians exchanged the logic board -- I am writing this review from the Apple Store because I am paranoid and wanted to test it out myself. According to the review, they were running some more graphic card intensive testing and they could reproduce the problem. There seems to be no flickering any more. Thank you Apple and thank all you guys for the hints, tips, and suggestions. I hope your issues will be also resolved soon.
