I think you need to look at your iPhone or iPad & see if a verification code was sent to them.

There is no place to enter the 6-digit code (obtained from the second device) into the iTunes ID/Password field dialogue box - if that makes sense!?
It's all a bit crazy, crazy...appreciate your help tho'...

This entailed turning-OFF the two factor authorisation.
Not sure this is what Apple really want ???
