Q: Upgrade el captain with final cut pro 7.0.3?

Hello to align with other devices that I would need to upgrade my iMac What has the sistem 10.8.5, to "El Captain".

It is advisable? according to you it is compatible with FinalCutPro 7.0.3? It specifies that I work with FinalCut 7.0.3 ch and you will understand I can not afford regarded mistakes with the new FinalCut do not know even where to start. I await your valuable advice and thank you very much those who will take

    You will need the Final Cut Studio installation disks to do a proper installation.

     

    However, since FCP 7 has not been supported by Apple for nearly 5 years every OS release increases the odds that something will not function properly, If I were you, I would maintain a separate partition with whatever OS X version you currently have and continue to run it for FCP 7. Upgrade to OS X 10.11 using a separate partition.

     

    Just to let you know, this is the Final Cut Pro X forum, which application is completely different than FCP 7. Suggest that you post any further questions in the Final Cut Studio forum.
