Mar 22, 2016 11:21 AM in response to Bism4rckby Glenn Robinson,Just to add that it isn't confined to iPad 2, my old original iPad is affected and effectively useless, though after trying a restart and inadvertently taking a screen shot of the 'Hello' screen, iPhoto did recognise it. Tried restarts when linked and not linked to iTunes. No go at all. Apple should pull this update quickly.

Mar 22, 2016 11:47 AM in response to Bism4rckby maJestic17,Same issue. I've seen some users faced this problem with earlier updates but what eventually helped many of them (removing SIM-card from the device) doesn't help me in this case. Please help us!!

Mar 22, 2016 12:05 PM in response to Bism4rckby Bism4rck,My iPad is working again, had to put it in recovery mode, installed iOS 9.3 via iTunes again and synced my data back. Sadly the last backup was 2 weeks ago, so all my stuff since is lost.

Mar 22, 2016 11:23 PM in response to Bism4rckby Ricardo Valdes,Thanks Bismarck for your message -
I followed the steps in the post you linked but I iTunes does not even show the iPad device.
Mine is 3rd Gen iPad - most likely I will take it to the Genius bar. Lately, it appears I need to rent room at that store.
Thanks for helping.

Mar 23, 2016 8:03 AM in response to Bism4rckby Eric Wortman,Not that it helps much, but I have been experiencing the same issues with both of my iPad 2 (GSM) models. Had no problems with our other work and personal devices (iPad Air, iPad Mini 2, iPhone 6, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 5c).

Mar 23, 2016 8:20 AM in response to Bism4rckby Old Seadog,Support is useless. They need the iPad number which cannot be accessed as the iPad is locked up in a "continue" which results in a message the problem is with the server. The result of that is - if Support is correct - server overloaded - the iPad is useless meantime.

Mar 23, 2016 8:27 AM in response to Old Seadogby Bism4rck,Server overload??? So the iPad 2 has his own activation server? Because my other iDevices (2x iPhone 5S, iPad Air 2) activated without any hickup at the same time, while the iPad 2 didn't.

Mar 23, 2016 8:35 AM in response to Bism4rckby OliverSL,Me too, iPad 4, bricked. The password is correct, confirmed in iCloud.com. Vi iTunes I get a message saying that this Apple ID can not activate this iPad.
