Mar 21, 2016 10:11 PM in response to edi88888by ManSinha,I do not believe that is Apple's doing - those options are set by carrier and not everyone had them
I had a carrier update right after 9.3 and those options are gone from my device as well
If you need them back - I would start by talking to the carrier first

Mar 22, 2016 7:26 AM in response to CSGonzalesby ervau,I totally aggree to CSGonzales and edi88888.
With iOS9.2.1 I was able to select 2G, 3G, LTE. With poor LTE it was better to choose 3G to avoit that the phone always was trying to book into poor LTE and to fall back to 3G. Updating to iOS the option to choose is gone. I think it's a step back: having a strong G3-signal is better than a weak LTE-signal!

Mar 22, 2016 7:31 AM in response to edi88888by KiltedTim,This subject has been beaten to death several times already.
The bottom line is that Apple did not take the option away, your carrier did. If you don't like it, complain to them.

Mar 22, 2016 7:49 AM in response to Senbuby ervau,Again; it's not a topic of the carrier. I didn't change the carrier, I ugraded iOS!
But I found out that the option is hidden somewhere else: (from german to english) settings - mobile net - data options - activate LTE (you can choose off/ speach&data/ only data)

Mar 22, 2016 7:52 AM in response to ervauby KiltedTim,It IS a carrier issue. What you're talking about is the ability to disable 3G, forcing the phone to use EDGE. The option to disable 3G is controlled by the carrier.

Mar 22, 2016 8:01 AM in response to KiltedTimby ervau,Up to iOS 9.2.1 I was able to choose LTE or to limit to 3G or to reduce to 2G.
With iOS 9.3 I can use LTE or I can reduce i.e. limit to 3G. But I had to find out where to set and I found out; so I'm able to limit to 3G in areas where I have poor LTE to avoid that the phone always trys to connect to LTE. I don't see any link to the carrier?!

Mar 22, 2016 8:15 AM in response to ervauby KiltedTim,You can believe what you want. it will not alter reality in any way.
The ability to disable LTE is not the issue. You can do that regardless. The ability to disable 3G, which forces the phone onto the EDGE network is controlled by the carrier.
If you are not here because you're trying to find a way to forcibly disable 3G, you're in the wrong thread.

Mar 22, 2016 4:46 PM in response to KiltedTimby edi88888,Okay, thank to reply. as I made a search online, I found same thing happened before. after update iOS 8, many people lost 2G option until updated to iOS 8.1. how to explain that?
PS: anyone who using vodafone has new option for 2G, 3G, LTE?
