Q: MacBook Pro RAM - Higher than Recommended
I wanted to upgrade the RAM on my MacBook Pro 2009. Now I looked in this website: MacBook Pro: How to remove or install memory - Apple Support about the specifications of RAM that I needed for upgrading RAM.
Now, I'm thinking that I need to max it up. My problem is that I saw on the local store website that there is 1066 MHz PC3-8500 type of RAM, but they have 2 GB (I need to buy 2 for 4 GB). I searched for 8 GB kit or 4 GB (again, I need to buy 2), but I found only the 1333 MHz PC3-10600. And one of my problem is that if I upgrade these, there is incompatibility issues on my MacBook Pro.
My question is:
Did you upgrade the RAM with higher specs (like I mentioned earlier)? If yes, are you experiencing incompatibility issues? If no, where can I get the recommended RAM specs (I live in the Philippines)?
MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), Intel Core 2 Duo
