Mar 25, 2016 9:13 PM in response to brenden dvby CHAUKTV,Hi Brenden DV, Thank you for sharing but today I connect my iPad2 (iOS 9.3) to my PC (Win 10) via iTunes 12.3.3.17, it says: A newer version of the iPad is available (version 9.3) To update ... click Update. Oh, my God!!! I do not really understand, and confused. What is happening?

Mar 27, 2016 11:33 AM in response to Occum's Razorby Ca4ole,boy I wish this would work for me - my itunes refuses to recognise/verify my ipad . So I don't get the option to update/restart at all. I just ran an itunes diagnostic with the ipad connected but it said nothing was connected - but amazingly to me listed my ipad with the correct serial number as a device that had recently been connected (it never having recognised it in all my attempts ) - it is so frustrating. Over 4 days now....

Mar 27, 2016 3:41 PM in response to Ca4oleby JacKubat,I had the same issue. Here's what I did to get my iPad2 to recognize the authorized computer.
1. I plugged my iPad2 into another of my computers that had iTunes installed and updated.
2. with iTunes open the iPad then showed the connect to the computer request.
3. I then unpluged it from that computer and plugged it into my authorized computer.
4. The authorzied computer then was able to download the update and install it .
Hope this works for you.

Apr 2, 2016 8:44 PM in response to dhandzicby dpqld,Just a couple of extra points that can be a problem
1) unplug any USB device you don't actually need
2) If you have problems try using a USB 2.0 port rather than a USB 3.0 port. (if you don't have any USB 2.0 port you can use a hub that only does USB 2.0).
I wouldn't buy a USB2.0 hub just for this as not all hubs are created equal and it isn't just a price thing. I now always run iPad and iPhone connectivity via USB 2.0 and it is now usable (as opposed to tragic)
