Q: These new-fangled awards

How, exactly, are these supposed to work?  I read the tutorial for them several times, and yet when I uploaded a third avatar (as I'd only uploaded two), the badge for that particular achievement has yet to be colored in. 

 

Also, I thought access to The Lounge was for Level 5 users and up — now it's Level 6?

MacBook, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

    One more — "Specialities".....how are you supposed to get them?  Again, I've read the tutorial a dozen times, and I don't see any "callouts" anywhere telling me to do anything.  It seems liked it was rolled out without it being properly tested or something.

    I think just be patient. Things are rolling out and it takes time for it to populate through the forum.

    Lounge access has been Level 6 for at least the last couple of years. I don't know if it was ever Level 5.

    I asked about the Specialities because I've seen some people with the badges under the avatars, but I can't find where I'm supposed to go do whatever it is I'm supposed to do to get one.  :-\

    So far it looks like anyone asking a new question in a forum has a badge for that forum -- and these are mostly new users so I'm pretty sure that is something that is happening automatically. I'm sure there will eventually be more to it than that.

    I got an iPad badge in Re: Which game is shown on ipad mini 4 promo and did nothing other than answer the question and have it marked "This helped me" by AlohaBob, a mere "participant"

     

    The display of the badge is "confounded" if one's reply is too short

    The thing that confuses me is that in the tutorial for Specialities, it doesn't say anything about getting a badge just for having someone mark your answer Helpful/Solved.  It's not the end of the world or anything, it's just something interesting I'd like to participate in, but I'm just not sure how.

    Go to your profile page. You are moving along quite nicely.  You have all sorts of pretty colors now! Just click on one of the awards in order to learn more about them.

    I am thinking that probably the 'tutorial' should be authored by someone who actually 'participates' and is certain how everything 'will' in fact work. No offense intended toward our gracious Hosts, but they are the 'moderators' and VERY rarely participate. Maybe someone who does use JiveWare 'explained it TO them' from a point of view that many folks do - assuming that someone can read their minds!
