For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.

The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.

Your library and device backups should be unaffected by these steps but there are links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

I've had a similar problem with 12.3.3.17. As soon as I try to log into the Store iTunes will crash with no diagnostic info offered. In fact, if I stay signed out of the Store and simply select the Network Connectivity Test under iTunes "Run Diagnostics..." it will crash.

Taking a clue from the previous post I downgraded to iTunes 12.3.2.35 and have NO crashes when signed into the Store.

    FWIW, running Windows 10.

Thanks for confirming that downgrading is a viable workaround. Odd thing to get randomly broken.

I jut tried signing in to iTunes without my iPhone connected and it signed in without any issues. Tried connecting my iPhone and so far no error message. Not sure if the issue fully varnished. But fingers crossed to not see that Message again.

    Thanks for the resolution

I am constantly crashing with the update and while I cannot confirm it, it appears that it is crashing any time it tries to communicate with the store. E.g., trying to download my iCloud music, logging into the store, playing back a downloaded tv show, trying to access Apple Music radio stations, etc. I have tried all of the various things in the links you posted and none of them worked. I am currently trying to work with Apple support to try to figure out what is wrong. Something is very broken. I even created a whole new user account and then tried logging into my iTunes account - same result as the above user in that it crashed while I was filling out the login information.

I've experienced the same problem.  This has also happened with previous updates that were subsequently fixed, so hopefully 12.3.3 will be fixed soon.

In the interim, here's my work-around so that I can at least play my media from my Windows computer (Windows Enterprise 7 64-bit).

    1) I restored essential iTunes library files from a back-up after the initial installation of 12.3.3 wiped out the files (iTunes Library.itl and itunes library.xml). Media itself was unaffected.

    2) Before launching iTunes, disconnect from the internet.

    3) Launch iTunes and wait about 60 seconds. This is when it is trying to connect to the iTunes store.

    4) Reconnect to the internet.

This works most of the time, but be advised that any attempts (by iTunes or you) to connect to the iTunes store will likely make it crash again. I've been able to have iTunes open and actively playing media for several hours without a crash.
