Q: Auto Spell Correction Better in Messages than Mail

The auto spell correction in Messages 8.0 (in 10.10.5) seems a lot more accurate and sophisticated than the same feature in Mail 8.2. Why are are they different? And can I get Mail to work the way Messages does? I know there are loads of threads about turning this feature off, but I find it useful for correcting typos on the fly when I'm in a hurry. Messages will correct "asylun", for example, but Mail doesn't. "Asylun" isn't a word in English, so why doesn't Mail correct it to the fairly obvious thing I was trying to type, when Messages does? Thanks for any help.

    Hi,

I just checked mine and I have different settings set for each app in the Edit Menu > Spelling options.
