Mar 24, 2016 12:00 AM in response to MikeAbramsNYby Mrs C Spain,TThank you! REQUEST DESKTOP SITE (holding the refresh arrow button to the right of the URL search box - I didn't know that's where Apple had hidden it!) has at least opened up Safari for me again!

Are your guys' factory resets still working out for you? I tried the complete factory reset (Erase All Content and Settings) and no restore from backup (set up as if I were completely new to iOS) and 10 hours later, the issue has returned.

Mar 24, 2016 5:27 AM in response to coolbkoolby jfiggy77,I've done 5 factory resets and each time i've setup the device as new. Each and every time the device will work like a dream for a couple of days and the issue will rear it's ugly head. There is no rhyme or reason for what is causing the issue. It just appears out of the blue. As i've said before, i'm glad to see that it's not just me experiencing this issue and it is in fact affecting many people and still not fix has been made. Here's hoping that now that the topic has been getting a lot of talk lately, Apple finally fixes this issue because it affects so many things. Everyday I run into a new app that it affects. For instance, I was trying to setup a travel app for an upcoming trip and it was asking me to link the app with my TripIt account. When I try to to link the accounts, the app freezes on me. Why? Because it attempts to open a page in Safari and is not able to. I hope this gets a fixed soon.

Mar 24, 2016 5:29 AM in response to Mrs C Spainby juagamo,The problem persits with new IOS 9.3. Apple doesn´t resolve the problem and fault with his new actualization. Bad job and bad image for Apple.

Mar 24, 2016 3:51 PM in response to poacher68by dtrounce,My iPad Air 32GB already had this problem. Now, my iPhone 6+ 64GB just caught it too. Both running 9.3.
I notice that most if not all posters have multiple iOS devices. I wonder if this might be caused by some kind of iCloud sync of web history? I also noticed that it may have something to do with JavaScript in my earlier post.
Apple desperately needs to fix this. Both my iOS devices can no longer open links from Mail, or open links on other domains or subdomains. Making Safari effectively useless. And as others have noted, even a full factory reset does not permanently fix the problem - possibly because it is re-syncing something that is causing the failure from iCloud web history.

Mar 24, 2016 5:46 PM in response to Mrs C Spainby Zsoldier,I'm started seeing this exact problem after updating my iPhone 6S 128GB to 9.3.
Links in Mail app do not launch.
Links on Google's results cause Safari to freeze. Bing and other search engines/pages don't have issues, only Googles.
I'm also unable to add passbooks.
Waiting for xCode to update so I can start digging into logs of phone to see what the heck is going on.

Mar 24, 2016 7:24 PM in response to Mrs C Spainby NCFIRECHIEF,I have the same problem with mail, Safari, and messages. Links work with the gmail app. Links work in Chrome but only with a long click to get the option to open in a new tab. It appears this has happened before with 9.2.1 but I could not find an answer that fixed the problem. I do not think it started until 24 hours after the update. iPhone 6s+ 128gb 9.3.

Mar 25, 2016 3:50 AM in response to silviaksby poacher68,HI Silviaks
My Safari sort of works with Javascript disabled. The Chrome app only works using open new tab. Hypertext links do not work in the mail app. So I could not access this discussion using the discussion link on your (and everyone's) post which appeared as an email in the default email app. But here's a thing.
An email with your post comes to my default email account. I opened the email in the Outlook app. The hypertext link works fine with Google Chrome set as the search engine. Google Chrome works fine and I don't even need to use the open in no tab function. How strange!
So in summary I am writing this post having accessed the discussion thread from the link in your post opened via an email in the Outlook app with Google Chrome as the search engine (not via Safari). I cannot do this via the default email app.
We have had this problem for nearly two months! (Two Air 2 64gb wifi cellular on 9.2.1 with the bug; an old iphone 4s on 9.2 bug free; a new iPhone 6 on 9.2.1 bug free)

Mar 25, 2016 4:32 AM in response to poacher68by antiphellus,Hello,
iphone 6s 128gb started to have the same problem. Upgraded to ios 9.3 still the same. Like many did I tried all the sensible things to overcome the problem. Nothing worked so far.
It doesn't make sense to go back to factory settings and then restore, seeing the number of people having the same problem, it is obviously an issue Apple should address the problem.

Mar 25, 2016 10:44 AM in response to poacher68by silviaks,Most links including news links in the Stocks app and weather channel link in Weather app dont work either. How do we get apple's attention to this huge issue?
