Q: I can't activate my Ipad after upgrading to iOS 9.3

You can get to recovery mode any time by holding down the home button and on/off button BEYOND seeing the APPLE LOGO appear.  Just keep holding until you see the icons for "connect to iTunes" (iTunes logo & cord with firewire?? adaptor).  That's one thing I learned from tech support today.

I am having the exact problem. I've spent literally all day trying to get it to activate.

I finally got the 9.3 loaded to my MacBook Pro, but had to go to iCloud.com to remove my iPad2 from the "find my device" list in order for RESTORE to begin.  The iPad acts like its going through a complete restore (with the Apple logo and progress bar beneath) but only time will tell if the RESTORE solves the issue. :::::keeping fingers crossed::::::

Thanks!  I tried for 2 hours last night. No Dice on activation.

Following your instructions now and iTunes is currently restoring the device.  I think I'll leave it alone until 9.31 comes out!

This is a known problem/glitch.

Apple, I believe, has acknowledge this issue with activation server difficulties with certain iPad models and have stated that they are working on this issue and that it will be resolved as soon as possible

Is there a fix for this yet??

Tried everything and it does not solve the issue.  It's Easter's week-end I don't have time to go to an Apple Store. Just can't believe Apple has failed on an update (one more time, but real bad this time).

I had a chat with Apple and they say its releted to the fact that many people are trying to update to iOS 9.3

I waited about half an hour and tried again, and it worked.

If this can help: I have solved this with 2 steps:

1) unlink your iPad from iCloud (as explained in posts above

2) connect to iTunes through a computer.

3) shut iPad down (home + on/off) kept pressed until you see the Apple logo and keep it presed until you see the ''connected to iTunes''

4) proceed (from your computer) to ''Update and Recovery''

Be aware though that you will be left with a new iPad - now with iOS 9.3 and need ensure you have things backed up somewhere (iCloud or else). You will at the end of process be able to reconnect it on iCloud.

Still have to find a few things, but iPad is no longer a brick

Mine also says invalid ID and won't let me login in so I am stuck at the iTunes login. I only have one account and have never changed it and my iPad 2 isn't listed under devices. I don't know what to do, any advice? Thanks.

If you have an Apple Store that you can get to, I thnk it's time to bring your iPad in and let the Genuis employess sort out your iPad issues and let them get your iPad back to working condition.

Unfortunately, 2 hours at an Apple store left me with a dead iPad and strong suggestions that I give up and buy a new one.
