Q: What is the latest version of Logic Pro x?

I Want to buy a book about learning how to use Logic Pro (Apple pro training series) and it states that there is an update to the book for version 10.2 and I think the latest version of Logic Pro is 10.2.2, does that mean that this book is not good for the newest version of Logic Pro?

    1. Version 10.2.2.

    2. Except as noted in this article and the corresponding one for 10.2.1, you can use the information in the book.

    Hi

The 10.1 printed book has not been updated to 10.2.0, but the eBook has. There have been many changes, some of which affect the lessons in the book.

In addition to the various release notes for LPX 10.2.0, 10.2.1 and 10.2.2, there is an Errata document for 10.2.0 available on the Pearson/Peachpit website. See the Updates Tab on this page:

More changes in 10.2.1 and 10.2.2 also affect the lessons. I imagine that an additional Errata document for LPX 10.2.2 is in the works and will be published soon.

Thank you very much. So, I don't understand, sorry:), should I buy this book or not? Would it be compatible with the newest version of Logic Pro or not? What about "Apple pro training series: Logic Pro X advanced audio production: composing and producing Profesional audio??? Is this a good book for the newest version of Logic Pro?

    Hi

Ok let's try to clear this up :-)

The current printed book is for LPX 10.1. Errata docs on the Peachpit website ( links in my earlier post) provide corrections etc so that the printed book is OK for LPX10.2.0.

The current eBook is OK for LPX 10.2.0.

I understand that additional errata for the printed ( LPX 10.1) book are due soon. These errata would bring the book up to LPX10.2.2.

I guess that the eBook will be updated for LPX 10.2.2.

So...   the printed 10.1 book plus the errata docs will be OK for 10.2.2 (when the updated errata is published).

That book is for LPX 10.1, and will also need to be updated for LPX10.2.2

It is recommended in the Dvorin Advanced book that you study the Nahmani book first.

I am telling you that the printed book is for LPX10.1, that the errata docs currently available are for 10.2.0, and that errata docs for 10.2.2 are on the way.

I am also telling you that the eBook is currently for v 10.2.0

You choose to buy or not buy
