Q: AFP and more than 16 TB?

HI Folks,

why is it possible to create and share a volume more than 16 TB on AFP?

It seems no problem to use it on OSX Clients.?

Because HFS+ can have 8 EB Size, thats 9 MILLIONS Terrabyte and AFP can only do 16 Terrabyte?!?!

Can somebody explain?

What is the source of your information that 'AFP can only do 16TB'? AFAIK that limit was removed by AFP3.2 (OS X 10.4) although I'm not aware of any documentation that specifies what it was increased to.

I don't have a disk large enough to verify this, unfortunately.
