Q: RMB tiny white spots over the screen (no dead pixels)

This week when I opened my 12'' MacBook I saw over the screen small white spots over the whole screen. At first I thought it might be a smug on the screen but a quick wipe down and close inspection from various angles confirmed it was something else. I shut down and turned the RMB back on. The tiny bright white spots were persistent, though only noticeable amid a dark background or when the sun reflects on the screen.

Anybody has the same problem or does know what is the best solution to resolve this problem? I didn't make a case at Apple yet, because I'm in a doubt if Apple repair this under warranty else I need to get in touch with my insurance company.

It reminds me of all the problems with Retina displays on the MacBook Pro (you can search "Staingate" in Google). If the MacBook is in warranty, you should make a backup of your data and take it to an Apple Store or reseller, so you can get your MacBook repaired.

Yeah, I already read so much about that and unfortunately I'm also one of those..

Would it be repaired under warranty at Apple?

It should, but you will only know if you take it to an Apple Store or reseller. Anyway, I remember the first MacBook Pro users with that problem and most of them had to pay for the repair. All I can tell you is good luck!

Haha great....can't wait to spend around €900 for a new screen

I think that I get in touch with my insurance company and hopefully I can solve it with them.
