Q: Can't save pdf files from Safari

I am once again experiencing a problem with being unable to print or save pdf files from Safari.  Basically the saved pdf file is empty.  It appears as a blank page in the print dialog and will not open with either Acrobat or Preview.  I had this problem some time ago and it was fixed by deleting a file in the library which I can no longer recall what that was.  This occurs primarily with online paperless bills from Comcast or Verizon and not with all pdf files.  It is my opinion that this type of problem should not keep happening.  Apple should figure out what is going on and fix it.  I use an Apple computer for ease of use.  I should not have to resort to technical fixes for everyday uses.

print trick did not work. i have no edit/preferences option anywhere. i have no menu appear at bottom middle. and none of the other suggestions i got from other postings elsewhere were feasible or effective on my mac pro with most up to date OS.

what worked was---right click on the UNopened pdf---menu appears with 'save as' option that actually works instead of opening a blank box.
