Q: iPhone 6s Plus back plate scuffs

Within the first few weeks I already noticed a few scuffs on the back of my iPhone, now, a few months later, you can see almost the entire lower section is covered. Notice how most scuffs are around the engravings. The rest of the back plate is completely fine, no dents, scuffs or scratches at all. Do more people have this problem? Is it something with the aluminum? I've never had this before on previous iPhones/ iPads. Should I contact Apple?
