Mar 27, 2016 2:40 PM in response to Agathornby helge_f,I doubt this is an isolated issue just affecting few devices. At least I see the problem on both my iPhone 6 and iPad Air. Both upgraded to IOS 9.3 yesterday when the problem started (not sure if it was caused by iOS 9.3 upgrade or just started yesterday). Disabling Javascript seems to fix at least Safari.
Although my wife has an iPhone 6 that also is upgraded to iOS 9.3 and she does not face same problem ....
But agree with others in this thread that Apple could have spent a few more man-hours on testing here.

Mar 27, 2016 2:52 PM in response to Agathornby fnazeeri,I have the same problem. iPhone 6SPlus. It affects Safari, Messages and intermittently other apps. Basically it turned my iPhone into a big Motorola flip phone! Hope there is a patching coming soon...

Mar 27, 2016 3:22 PM in response to Agathornby Jeroen84,I already had this issue starting 2~3(?) days ago, when I was still on iOS 9.2.1.
It started after I was opening an Kickstarter.com link in Safari. It tried to open the app through Safari but then crashed. I also tried to find the same product page inside the Kickstarter App. I think it uses an internal app webbrowser. The app crashed.
Since then I had the problem of links on Google/etc (links to external websites, not currently where you're at) not working. Not even in the Chrome app. I upgraded to iOS 9.3 this morning to try to fix this, but to no avail.
What worries me most is that this issue happened BEFORE I upgraded.. Which means that something changed on my phone between now and a few days back. Logical possibilities:
- Some Appstore/App update(s) causing the problem
- Apple updates some things in the background on your phone, without a full iOS update, causing the problem

Mar 27, 2016 3:23 PM in response to fnazeeriby ArtOfNoise,Few devices?? Sorry but it is bull@@@ I am working for the big blue company which signed the exclusive contract with Apple. Thousands of employers are using apple iphones as the default device provided by the company and guess what? Today I received info from min 130 people from all over the world and they called it issue with few devices.... Such a shame apple!

Mar 27, 2016 3:36 PM in response to helge_fby retablo,Considering I upgraded on the day it was released and I didn't have any issues until today, it's not an issue with 9.3. Something else happened, or I would've had problem from the start. The OS didn't just "go bad" for no reason.

Mar 27, 2016 3:40 PM in response to Agathornby dabwat,I am kind of weirded out by this and wondering if it was a hack. Should people change their passwords and not use them on their phones?? Just wondering bc I am not super techy. Just putting this question out there.

Mar 27, 2016 3:46 PM in response to Agathornby Dptolle,I have tried all suggestions, I turned off Java pop up blockers disable Sarai search engine suggestions and disabled safari suggestions. Set the clock back to March 25th. Deleted the booking.com app. And iPad Air still not allowing links within email or to open links in news.

Mar 27, 2016 3:52 PM in response to Dptolleby retablo,So since none of these work for most people, why waste your time doing it and just wait for the fix?
-
Mar 27, 2016 3:55 PM in response to retabloby dabwat,I guess it's because no one at apple store or support acts like they know about this so people are getting desperate to figure it out themselves. They offer no help or statement or even acknowledgement of a problem.

Mar 27, 2016 3:58 PM in response to Agathornby Peter22204,After struggling with this same issue for a couple of days, I have resolved both the mail embedded link issue and the Google search result link issue (at least for me).
I downloaded the following file Iphone7,2_9.2.1_13D20_Restore.ipsw from one of the many sites available - I used a website called ipsw.me
A full backup of my phone was performed via iTunes.
I then connected my iPhone to my macbook (iTunes). While holding down the 'option' key, I selected the Restore iPhone option from the top section referencing the IOS version (stated current version was IOS 9.3)
Holding down the 'option' key allowed me to select the previously downloaded ipsw file.
My phone displayed "Restoring iPhone".
After the phone rebooted, I selected restore as new - yes, its a huge pain. I downloaded all my apps again. Prior to all of this, I made sure my photos had been stored on iCloud, as well as Notes.
I did not restore from a backup - it seems this is the crucial part.
Towards the end of the restore process, my iPhone started downloading the IOS 9.3 update. It is currently downloaded BUT NOT INSTALLED.
I am now 5 hours later, and both links in Google search and embedded links in email are working fine. Sure, I am using IOS 9.2.1 and I don't have the new functionality of IOS 9.3, but this is a small price to pay for having a fully functional phone once again.
I hope this works for you too.......obviously, backup your phone first, store things like photos in iCloud and proceed at your own risk as performing stuff like this can (and has in the past) caused me to lose data.

Mar 27, 2016 4:02 PM in response to dabwatby retablo,There have been numerous posts from apple support talking about a fix coming in the next day or so. So yes, there has been acknowledgement and statements about the problem.
AGAIN, the problem only started YESTERDAY so it wasn't inherent in the new iOS from the start. Something else happened. You can't expect an immediate fix when someone hacks the system.

Mar 27, 2016 4:01 PM in response to retabloby dabwat,That was my experience in the store and on the phone and chat with Apple. Maybe it was too early on.

Mar 27, 2016 4:14 PM in response to Agathornby mishu648,I find it very frustrating that for quite sometime now any update to any of my apple products - Macbook, iPhone 6s, iPad and Apple tv - most of Apple's Apps become more complicated to navigate through i.e when editing a picture in iPhoto the original disappears and I can't copy and paste a photo to it, just as one example!!
I have been a very loyal Apple customer for many years but now after updating to ios 9.3 I can't open links through several apps! I am loosing patience!
