Feb 18, 2014 12:16 PM in response to MATT BANEYby varjak paw,The information shown is as up-to-date as the providers have it. You can submit problems and corrections via the "report a problem" link under the Maps menu.
Regards.

Feb 18, 2014 1:27 PM in response to MATT BANEYby varjak paw,Not sure what you want me to say. Again, the data is as up to date as the providers have it. There's no "cache" or other function you can clear to get newer data. Why the providers, which you can see listed here if you wish:
http://gspa21.ls.apple.com/html/attribution.html
have such out-of-date information I can't begin to guess.
Regards.

Mar 27, 2016 8:21 PM in response to MATT BANEYby brownbear324,My family and I recently moved into a new housing development last Dec 2015 and our address is completely wrong in Apple Maps. I submitted the error to Google Maps and within 2-3 days it was corrected in their Maps. I made the same submission to Apple Maps 5 times with no response acknowledgement let alone any changes to our address in Apple Maps.
The maps are NOT getting updated timely by TomTom or whomever provides the GIS data to Apple for their lousy Maps app. I've had to tell friends and family to NOT use Apple Maps for directions to our house because they'll get lost.
Since Apple Maps is the default map app for all apps using my gps coordinates (Find My Friends, Find My iPhone), it needs to be updated timely or give us the ability to change the default map app.

Mar 27, 2016 8:30 PM in response to MATT BANEYby HyperNetFella,I would like to add that Google Maps is a much more mature mapping application and Apple Maps is relatively new, I had a lingering issue with my Apple Maps updating locations and a Senior Advisor actually recommended to me to use Google Maps and to let Apple Maps mature as an application.
So, thats what i did.
Cheers.

Mar 27, 2016 9:32 PM in response to HyperNetFellaby brownbear324,I completely agree that Google Maps is a much more mature app, but until Apple allows its users to change our the Apple Maps app as its default map in iOS, we need to get it updated ASAP.

Mar 27, 2016 9:36 PM in response to brownbear324by HyperNetFella,That's a great point, and i think our best option there is to submit it to the Apple Feedback page which I shall head on over and relay the information.
