Q: iOS 9.3 Safari link freezes, crashes Safari

Every time I click on a link in Safari (be it google or on another page), the link goes gray and never opens. If I try pressing several times, the device is completely unresponsive. After about a minute, the Safari crashes.

Well, this is most odd. Redid everything again and started installings one by one. Nothing happened. The last 3 I reistalled together and safari crashed (airbnb, imdb and booking). Either one of them is the issue, or the fact that I selected to install them in the same time. Back to work

edit 1: It seems to me that the booking app is crashing safari links. I did everything as before and only installed the booking app. Right after, safari stoped working normally. Not sure if it's a problem with the app itself or something specific to several apps, but it's a 100% corelation.

    You're welcome Apple

I called in support and this was the fix they gave me . . .but this is a partial fix and I can't go on certain sites and or once there can't follow hyperlinks.

I've read how most everyone resolved the issue by resetting to factory default . . .but I'm a bit scared of this..I may go to the Apple store near my house hopefully someone there maybe able to help me with this.

I have this problem as well. But its on my iPad Air2 AND I haven't installed the S9.3 yet.  I have agreed to install and agreed to T&Cs but haven't undertaken the actual install.

So its not in the software itself but in the agreement to go ahead.  Up until I did this, everything was fine on my iPad Air2.  Now its a disaster. I keep clearing the history and cookies and I have turned off JavaScript and done several hard restarts.

Next stop is iTunes for a factiory reset. Very annoying.  Come on Apple....this is a world wide problem...I'm in Australia!

I Have the same problem after updating this IOS 9.3. I tried all the browsers ..chrome opera dolphin safari.everytime I click on a link or site it simply doesn't t open. If I keep pressing then the page freezes and safari crashes. This is ridiculous. The phone is no use now. And it s not just the sites. I have noticed that after this update even i open other apps the screen just freezes and I have to exist the app by keep pressing the button for a few seconds. my  brand new iPad Air 2 had IOS 9.2 and is working perfectly fine.... Apple please you have to fix this. Any news about an update?

    I have the same problem.

IPhone 6, since iOS update to 9.3 safari either doesn't register a link has been clicked, freezes, or hangs and crashes.

Very annoying to use tabs in chrome to use the internet!

After spending hours of searching how I can fix this problem I have decided to reset my iphone. Apparently this decision turn up to be a lifesaver!.

    SO what you can do:

Go to settings->general->reset->Erase All content and Settings.

Once you have done that then SELECT set up a new iPhone and do not do any restore from backup. I have tried the latter one and nothing happened. The glitch still exists.

This solution is time consuming since you have to installed all the applications from the beginning. PLEASE avoid installing trip advisor cause this app create all the problems in my case.

Below I have listed the apps that I have installed after the restore and I know for sure that they did not create any problems in my iphone.

    —viber

    —whatsapp

    —snapchat

    —facebook

    —googlemaps

    —dropbox

    —google translate

    —tuneIn Radio

    —sygic gps

    —instagram

    —shazam

    —skype

    —hangouts

    sych.me

HOPE SO THIS SAVE YOU A LOT OF TIME !!!
