Q: Why won't movies taken on my iphone show up in my photo stream?

I have the phones set to automatically 'upload new photos to photo stream' and all our photos show up in photo stream on all the devices, but the movies we take never do?  I assume they should, but maybe I'm missing something?

thanks - Terry

Yup you are assuming - bad plan

Video does not move via MyPhotoStream

Which photo formats can I use with My Photo Stream?

My Photo Stream supports JPEG, TIFF, PNG, and most RAW photo formats. My Photo Stream doesn't work with video.

Thanks Larry, but well, that's just stupid.

Yes, some assumptions are bad planning but one needs to start somewhere.

I guess it's just typical Apple - yes, you can take movies with your iPhone, but no, they won't automatically go into your Photo Stream...

The next dumb question is how do I get the movies off the phone and into Photo?  I really would like to save them somewhere other than on the phone.

    Easy

the easiest is to use iCloud Photo Library

You also can Import using iTunes Sync or Image Capture
