Q: Siri unusable after iOS 9.3 update on iPhone 6

I can no longer use Siri or dictation on my iPhone 6 since updating to iOS 9.3. Siri works fine on my ipad mini and Apple TV just the iPhone 6. Have called customer services who were less than useless. Had me restore all settings so I have lost all my personalisation and Siri still unusable. Someone please help. Is this a known issue?

I guess that a factory restore will help. Don't forget to do a backup. iCloud or local iTunes backup.

Did the solution with factory restore work?

I have the same problem Siri doesnt hear me, neither microphone works when I make call. But microphone is fine, because it is working in google translate.

I really want to avoid factory restore. I called apple support this morning and they had me reset all factory settings and this has caused havoc for me so I've spent the day getting my iPhone back to how it was with personalisation etc. I want to avoid factory restore for the hassle it will cause unlinking apple pay etc. Still not resolved. The microphone hears me because it is recording my voice on videos just fine it's just the Siri and dictation that is not working or working intermittently. So frustrating.

You have to wait for 9.3.1.

I'm also having exactly the same problem. I have
an iPhone 6 Plus. When I speak Siri  says "I didn't get that" or
"sorry I didn't get that" or "sorry I missed that" or
"I'm not sure what you said". I use Siri extensively and it was
working perfectly well until April this year until one of the iOS 9.3 updates
destroyed it. Voice memos work fine. I tried updating it to iOS 9.3.3 and 9.3.4
with no luck. I then enrolled for the iOS 10 public beta program hoping that
    iOS 10 would fix my problem. I updated to iOS 10.2, 10.3, 10.4, 10.5, 10.6 and
now the latest 10.7 but none of which solved my problem. My Siri works with
headphone jack and Apple watch but not on the device itself. I took my phone in
to the local iStore from where I purchased it. They restored my phone to
default factory settings but I still had the same problem. The Service Centre
Manager by the name of Lindsay shockingly remarked that you do updates at your
own risk which you agree to.  Apple certainly promotes these updates
but when these updates render your phone defective, they quick to deny
liability. Surely the manufacturer is responsible and the
dealer has to replace or repair the phone. However my local Apple iStore is
denying all liability on the basis that I did the update at my own risk and
that Apple is unaware of the problem. How can Apple be unaware of the problem
when we (me in South Africa and you'll in the rest of the world) all
complaining of precisely the very same issue?
