Q: crazy CPU activity during Safari after 10.11.4 update

Hi folks,

I observed a crazy CPU activity when I open Safari and go browsing after El capitan 10.11.4 update.

Today I just run ACTIVITY MONITOR and quit the item named SPOTLIGHT SERVICE ON SAFARI HISTORY and the MBP fans turned into silence!!!!

Anyone had the same trouble and fixed like me?

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4), 17"

your history is being indexed by spotlight

turn off Websearches and Bookmarks & History in your Spotlight Control Panel

    >System Preferences...>Spotlight

(mine are actually ON in this screen shot, uncheck to turn them off.)

you can also turn on Private Browsing in Safari if you wish to stop this without disabling those indexes.

    CMD+SHIFT+N

    or FILE>New Private Window

thanks man, I'll try to observe a bit more until turn off spotlight on web history forever because I need it.

I'll try the combo update again.

I had a failed combo update the last time and had executed a regular update do 10.11.4.
