Q: When I go to change my Passcode, the touchpad slides up but is gray/blank... No keys.  And there's no Options window.

I Installed the latest iOS a short while back and mistakenly opted for the Passcode option, something I've bypassed for the last 5 years of updates.  It turns out to be unnecessary and I should've known better.  So I tried to go into the Settings>Passcode to turn it off altogether.  Tapping the Passcode board that appears brings a blank gray slider up from below... theres no qwerty keys displayed or numerals.  I guess, according to one source, there should be an Options window with it, so maybe I could choose to forgo the annoying Passcode entry each time I turn the iPad2 on.  But there's no Options window either.

Essentially there's no way I can eliminate the pestering Passcore requirement.  In the interim I just have to enter my Passcode apparently.  I've also noticed I can't hold my finger on the text cursor and get the editing circle to appear.  If I must delete or correct a character, I have to erase an entire word by backing all the way from its end... I can only tap and place the cursor at either the front or back of a word.

Are these some of the many apparent glitches with iOS 9.3 that will be fixed?

iPad 2, iOS 4.3.3

    Hello Hafcanadian,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

From your post I understand that you're unable to turn off your passcode.  This is likely because you have configuration profile which requires a passcode.  See below for more details:

Can’t turn off your passcode or change passcode settings?

Passcode settings might be unavailable, gray, or dimmed. If you can't change these settings, it might be because you're using a configuration profile that requires a passcode. This is common with business or education devices. Contact your IT administrator for more information.

Use a passcode with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

    Take care.

Today there was an iOS bug-fix update.  Following the long download, I went to Settings>Passcode and the Passcode window worked finally as designed, followed by the Options menu for turning Passcode on and off, etc.  That menu never appeared since the iOS 9.3 download last month;  in fact the Passcode keypad wouldn't take entries then.  All worked correctly this time, however.

Obviously the Passcode issue was one of the bugs fixed by today's update.  The text cursor editing circle that was being stubborn also now works properly.  Ahhhh, technology.

    Thanks for trying to assist.
