I understand you downloaded a song from the iTunes Store and only partially plays back, is that right? Is the playback issue only happening with this one song? If so, I would suggest deleting the song and redownloading it from the iTunes Store.
Delete music, movies, apps, and other content from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Remove songs, albums, or playlists from the Music app
On an iPhone or iPod touch
- Open the iTunes Store app.
- From the menu the bottom of the screen, tap More.
- Tap Purchased, then tap Music.
- Tap Not on This iPhone or Not on This iPod.
- Scroll to find the song that you want to download, then tap it.
- Tap the Download icon
to the right of the title. Your song downloads to your device.
Take care,

If you purchased the song, the steps above will explain how to access your purchased content and re-download it. You will not have to purchase it again.
Speaking of purchases, this resource will help you review your entire history of purchases on your Apple ID:
See your purchase history in the iTunes Store on a Mac or PC
If you can't view your purchase history on your computer, or you need to report a problem, you can see your purchases from the past 90 days at reportaproblem.apple.com.
