Q: [Help] Can't boot to windows (8.1) after resizing partition

Did you install Windows 10 using EFI Boot?

I used BootCamp to install, not sure if it's EFI boot as you said. I'm heavy user of Windows for more than 20 years but quite new to MAC

Yes, that is UEFI mode.

If you used the standard BCA method, your BCD is sitting in the EFI partition. You can use the steps in Re: Can't resize Macintosh HD partition and check if you have a Microsoft directory structure on the Mac's EFI partition.

Thank for your suggestion, but I already reinstalled Windows to get rid of this issue.

Be aware that this issue can come back, even if you do not re-partition, if the BCD in EFI directory is touched by OS X.

El Captain: windows 10 Bootcamp not recognizing after temporary partition

So after I hold Command+R after restarting my Macbook Pro, it tells me it's going into Internet Recovery. Then when I load Utilities > Terminal and type csrutil disable, it tells me the command is not found. If I type csrutil status when booting normally, it recognizes the command. Why is this happening?

So I followed it, and now it does boot into Windows but it's stuck at the "Starting Windows" screen and doesn't do anything. Please help

I Also did the startup repair thing aswell, and it still won't boot.

You may want to boot into command prompt and run chkdsk.

If Windows is getting to this point, you can also try Windows Safe Boot to see if it comes up. If it does, run chkdsk.

Still won't boot. It's suck at the "Loading Windows Files" thing.

Was chkdsk successful?
