Q: I believe my iPad was buried and packed up when cleaning  a room out several months ago. Is there a way to determine its last signal?

I Believe my iPad was inadvertently buried while cleaning a large storage room in our home. I believe it is still in the room and was accidentally packed away. Is there a way of telling where the last signal came from or somehow locating it in this room? Thank you.

You can try Find my iPad at iCloud.com on a computer. Log in with your iCloud account number. It's an incredibly long shot because the battery is probably dead.

Depending on how much metal and other items are also buried in the room which

may register, a metal detector may find several bits & pieces of buried treasure...

A modern metal detector could be selectively set, if you had another iPad to use

as the test-bait setup since the content of an iPad is dissimilar to buried car keys.

Do you have smart pet that could be shown a picture of the iPad and then be told

to go 'fetch' after showing the image and pointing to the piles of stuff in a roomful?

An ermine could be trained ahead of a loss, to go in to ferret it out. They're smart.
