Q: Links will not open in search or from emails

Problem only started yesterday. Tried to search something (I'm using Google, but have also tried Yahoo) but the links would not open. Found the same was happening for links in emails. Nothing is opening. I have cleared all history/cookies through settings. I have closed the ipad down and restarted it, and I have also tried resetting the Ipad. Nothing has worked. Any suggestions what I can do?

iPad 2, iOS 9.2.1, null

Please wait until a fix is available from Apple.

    Best.

Ive gathered the appropariate information from AppleCare on how to addresss this issue appropriately.

The temporary fix is to follow these instructions:

    1.  Perform a hard reset on the device (Hold down the home button and the on/off button until you see the black screen).

    2.  After successufully hard resetting the device check your hyperlinks in Safari to see if they respond.

If they don't, you need to turn off JavaScript on the device:  Settings > Safari > Advanced > JavaScript.

    3.  If this combo doesn't resolve the issue, the official instruction is to keep your device up to date in case a future release fixes the issue.

How can you say this is "solved" if those steps don't solve the issue.   Still nothing official on Apple.com or Apple.ca and turning off Java is not a "fix" but renders many sites inoperable.

Please don't label something "solved" unless it truly is.  This issue remains very current and a fix from Apple is needed pretty much now.

It still doesn't work. I think my fix is going to go shopping for a non-Apple pad tomorrow!

I Had the same issue and this fixed it for me (turning off JavaScript) but yes, this is NOT a proper fix. It happened after the IOS 9.3 update got loaded on my iPhone yesterday so obviously a bug. Apple need to sort it out because this is going to drive folks nuts! I guess we can all expect another IOS update to appear pretty soon...

Tried your suggestions but only worked for an hour or 2 then back to the same problem.

Also when opening Mail it now regularly freezes!

When are Apple going to put out a permanent fix?

    Very frustrating
