Q: How can I download Maverics on a formatted MacBook 2009?

Hi all,

I've formatted my girlfriend's MacBook 2009 and wanted to re-install again. However, after I formatted, when I wanted to re-install it, it tried to download from the App Store. I kept receiving that the installer is temporarily unavailable. What can I do? How can I install the latest OS X on it? Please help me.

If you want the latest OS, on another computer, go to the App Store, sign in with your girl friends' Apple ID and download El Capitan (or Mavericks if it is in the Purchases tab). Once the installer downloads, quit it. You can make a bootable USB stick to install using this free program which will do all the work for you. Boot her computer off of that and install the OS.
