Q: dropped some mozzarella water on my Iphone 6s...
Hi,
So, I was cooking, with my Iphone 6s by my side...suddenly, I dropped some mozzarella water on the top of the phone (including the front camera + the other 2 holes). It was not more than half of a shot glass (I don't know what other way I could use to describe the quantity haha).
I quickly removed the water, turned my phone off, cleaned the holes with a Q-tip and put it in rice, upside down.
I already did the "rice trick" before with two different Samsungs (that shut down before I even could do anything) and it always worked (one is even 4 years old and is still used by my mom). The thing is that both those times, my phone fell in plain water.
I am afraid that the ph of mozzarella water is different....Do you think my phone will survive? Should I do something more? What about garanty (my phone is 2 months old...)
Thank you in advance for your answer
iPhone 6s, iOS 9.2.1, null

Unfortunately iPhone is not waterproof. You are lucky one if it still works after contact with water. Usually phones and water do not mix and water damage is not covered by warranty. Corrosion has already started. You should schedule a genius appointment at the Apple Store to appraise the level of damages. They will offer you the best solution.
