Q: Roaming Network 3 Airport extremes

HEllo all this is my second post to the forum .  I have a roaming network 3 AirPort Extreme ACs.  (1) in basement in on middle floor and one on top floor.

 

Now the middle floor and basement gives off a strong wireless signal and the house is wired with cat 5e so I have devices plugged into the import extremes and everything is working fantastic.  However the AirPort Extreme is only giving off a,wireless speed of 9mb/s when all the other airports are giving off 50-150 mb/s.

I Have been reading on these forums that maybe my channels are getting mixed up but all AEs are set to automatic for channels so Should I change that?

ALso when my new MacBook Pro connects to it which is also an AC device it still hovers at 9 mob/s.  Now a couple of days before when I had my time capsule base station with wireless (n) it was getting speed of 50-60 do I know it is not my Ethernet cable in wall. so any recommendations I would appreciate your

Based on your description of the problem, it sounds like the AirPort Extreme in question, is either misconfigured or is faulty.

 

I would suggest that you first try a "factory default" reset on this base station, and then, use the AirPort Utility to configure it for your roaming type network. If this fails to resolve the issue, then it may be faulty and you should get it replaced.

    So I agreed with you and replaced the airport extreme in the mean time I set up my old wireless N time capsule.  It has the same configuration and password but nothing connects to it. When I looked at it from a the airport network it went is now asking me for my password every time but the other two airports never ask me this question.  Any idea what is happening here ? When I enter the password it shows as being on the same network And it shows no wireless clients are currently working.
