Q: URLs not working in Safari or Mail after iOS 9.2.1

After updating my iPad Air 2 iOS 9.2.1, I experienced Safari crashing when trying to open a new tab. I solved this problem by disabling Search Engine Suggestions and Safari Suggestions in Settings, as recommended. However now, if I've done a search, I cannot open any of the links in that search. If I type a specific URL in the Search Box, then I can open the page, but am unable to sign in, use any links from that page, etc. Also, I find that I am unable to open any URL links that I receive in Mail and tapping on a link then locks up Mail... I have done a full sync to my iMac, which can sometimes rectify a problem, but it hasn't helped in this instance.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Supper helpful instructions... Aside from the fact that I've never used or even downloaded the booking.com app. So it seems that particular app might not be causing my problems. But your snarkiness directed at those looking for answers is much appreciated.

You are absolutely right.. booking.com wasn't the issue for me either..in fact if you put down the hot pocket for a couple of seconds (oh no blasphemy) and actually scroll a few comments..you would see that most weren't caused by booking.. The same instructions work for any of the apps causing it..(yes sorry you will have to do some thinking..another blasphemy and find the app..hint. it was yelp for my device)

I'll save you the time for the rest of your reply..

Am I the only one that thinks we should blame the FBI?

At least my iPhone 6 isn't having the problem.  It's my iPad Air (not old to me) that's having issues.

    Hi - A few questions:

On  3 - is this data removed automatically - or do I need to select something in the list?

On 4 - DO I simply reset all settings in Settings - or do I set my iPhone up as a new phone?

    Thanks

Wow. It must be hard to be so angry all the time... Maybe you need to get some fresh air. Or a hug.

Now, I'm not an idiot. I do know how to read the previous comments. In fact I've spent hours at this point researching this problem and what else could be causing it. But again, thanks for your snark. Multiple comments - including a couple of yours used bookings.com as the culprit. Multiple comments specified that most people were having problems sue to this app. Hence my follow up question using booking.com as the example... Just following your example, my friend.

But now that I've followed your instructions with literally every app I've ever downloaded (including the apps on your precious list), as well as any other tips on this thread, what do you suggest? I'm directing my questions to you now, because you seem to be the one with all the time in the world to troll the Internet and answer them.

I really am sorry your life is so hard that you carry a bad attitude toward everyone you encounter. I sincerely mean that. Life can be so much more awesome. I hope you are able to find happiness.

Thanks for the previous solutions you suggested. It did help me rule out other non-issues. If you happen to think of anything else that could potentially help, feel free to offer them up. You clearly know more about programming than I do. And I really do appreciate all the help I can get... I can't bill for any of the services I provide my patients until I get my internet fully functioning again on my phone.

After downloading the 9.3 update (I never downloaded the 9.2.1), each time I try and open my mailbox on my iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Pro, it spins for a few seconds and then crashes immediately. I do all my work from both my iPad Pro and iPhone. This has totally crippled me. Any news as when they will be releasing another update to fix this one?

I'm actually very happy.  I have a working phone It's just those special needs individuals that can be so..what's the word? entertaining?

again I'm so sorry your highness for wasting all your "valuable" time on the internets looking to be fed all the answers...

hmmmm maybe..just maybe..you could of used your "precious" hours restoring your phone as new and going to the app store purchases and clicking the little down arrows to see which app breaks it?  I don't know just a thought..oh no wait...you must be "very important" and must have hundreds of apps making it impossible to do so.  Please forgive me.

and why are you replying multiple times to the same comment?  perhaps a broken phone is a wake up call.. stop being angry..i know life may suck for you not being able to use grindr..just  put it down..go outside and smell the flowers..enjoy life..

You have to do it yourself.  Look at the the top of the discussions - to the right.  You will see a checkmark next to "Following."  Check that off and you will no longer receive post notifications.
