Q: Why is my FaceTime sometimes jerky, or "Poor Connection"?

I have iPhone 52, iOS 9.3

I only do FaceTime with my daughter.

Sometimes the picture is jerky, and pauses for 3-4 seconds. Sometimes I get the "Poor Connection" message. At other times, everything is fine.

My daughter does not see these problems.

Whose connection is at fault - mine, or my daughter's?

Its hard to say. Can you run a speed test of your wifi where you sit when you FaceTime her and where she FaceTimes? Here is an app to do this test. If you get low numbers for upload and download speeds then it is your connection that is the issue. However, if she gets low numbers too then it could be both of your connections. Then would you be able to upload the results so we could see them too. Could you tell us what routers you have (AirPort Extreme...) and if you have multiple routers? Also if you are sitting far from your router that could be creating a connection issue. I have an AirPort Extreme on one side of my house and an AirPort Express on the other side, which helps give an even connection throughout the house. If you are interested in this option please let me know and I can help you set it up.

    Thanks @Srusso12 for your response.

Here are my test results using SpeedTest as you recommended:

    Upload:  9.23 Mbps

    Download:  0.86 Mbps
