Q: iMessage no longer working since January 27 update

Hello all.

I have had repeated issue with iMessage opening and "freezing" since late January on my Macbook Pro. I just checked the log for the issue and this string popped up. A bit above my intel level here, so if anyone has experience with issue I would greatly appreciate the help!

Support for this will be removed in a future release. Also, this makes the host incompatible with version 3 audio units. Please transition to the API's in AudioComponent.h.

    hi,

The second line in the Log.

Go to Messages > Preferences > General Section.

Change the settings for "When I Quit, Set my Status to Offline".  It does not matter what it is now just changing it and see if the item stops appearing in the Console messages.

If it does stop it appearing then set it back to what you want.

The last line about Audio items would tend to mean you might be using some Audio add-ons that are coming up to being out of date.

DO you use anything that can influence the Audio into Messages ?

Could be a MIDI Driver for an external sound source.

Could be an older app/utility that can tweak th sound before apps can see it such as Soundflower.
