Q: Cannot find reset button to reset iCloud Music Library!

Hey

It says to download iTunes 12.2.1. I can see that the description says get the latest, but I ask because the reset button is missing for iCloud music library in the account information page from itunes.

The whole system seems a bit confusing. I would like to remotely access the songs on my mac from all my devices but I don't want to continuously use mobile data. I often shuffle my songs, and I would like to keep some of them offline, whilst hiding a few others so that they don't play. A nice guide would help me learn how to use iCloud Music library better.

The main question is how I can get the reset button to show up, because I want to reset it.

Thanks

Bump -- I have the same question.  My reset button does not appear.  I've also canceled the service per technical support's recomendation and the button does not appear in that scenario either.

Once you view your account (Store > View Account from iTunes' menu), the reset button is at the bottom as shown here:

Thanks, I have clicked that reset button previously.  It never pops up asking to delete all music and playlists as described in the steps below.  It was a little bit confusing if that was the 'Reset' button or if a option to 'Reset iCloud Music Library' was missing, so thank you for clarifying that.  Any ideas why clicking reset does nothing?

    1. At the bottom of the page, click Reset for the option to Reset iCloud Music Library.
    2. When you’re asked to delete all of the music and playlists stored in your iCloud Music Library, check “I understand” and click Reset.

The article referred to has been retired, which suggests the steps it outlines may no longer be relevant. What is it that you actually need to accomplish?

I am wanting to reset my iCloud Music Library. I currently have an Apple Music subscription, and when I started it, it uploaded several thousand mp3's on my drive that I didn't want included in "My Music." Every time I try to delete them, they continue to repopulate on My Music list.

The closest thing I've found to a solve is the above "Reset iCloud Music Library" option.

That should do it. Apple Music and iTunes Match both use the term iCloud Music Library.

Cool. Problem is that the "Reset iCloud Music Library" button doesn't show up? That's why I was saying I was having the same problem. Not sure if I'm being lucid.

No, you're making sense. Apple sadly have a habit of changing the way things work without updating the documentation.

Did I read somewhere that you have to sign out of each library that is connected to iTunes Match first before you can reset it? Or did I imagine that?
