Q: Hi all! I have MackBook Pro 15 retina early 2013; 2,7GHz; 16GB. I dought monitor Dell P2415Q UHD 4K which can work with 60Hz repsonse rate. But in System pref. I can set it only to 30Hz. Do you know how to change it? Or is it HW thing? Thank you!

    What kind of cable are you using? HDMI?

     

    Just tried out plugging my Mid-2015 MBP to a 40" Philips LED thru the HDMI port. El Capitan immediately detected it, recognized the brand, picked the correct color profile and selected the best adjustments, which coincidentally had 60 Hz as the refresh. But it did offer 30 and 24 Hz as alternates, which were not optimal. Is yours doing something similar?
