Q: iBooks has suddenly stopped syncing between my iPhone and iPad

iBooks has suddenly stopped syncing between my iPhone 6s and iPad Mini.  Both are running iOS 9.3, and the syncing had been working fine for several days after I updated both devices.  Both syncing options (bookmarks/notes and collections) are turned on for both devices.  And it doesn't matter on which device I add a bookmark or note; it won't sync to the other device.

I've rebooted both devices and turned the syncing options off and back on, but I haven't been able to get it to work.

Any ideas as to what's going on?

Thanks.

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.3, also running iPad Mini on iOS 9.3

I'm having the same issue. I have iBooks on my iPhone, iPad, and Mac and I can't get any of them to sync bookmarks. The purchases are in sync though.

I'm having the same problem.  Started after 9.3 update.  I have an original ipad air running latest 9.3 (13E237) and an iphone 6s running 9.3 (13E234).

Have logged out of itunes, rebooted, logged back in, turned off syncing on both devices and back on...still no sync.

I think my Reminders are also not syncing.

    Exact same iBooks issue.

Upgraded to iOS 9.3, enabled iCloud for iBooks, all ePub and PDFs are sync'ed to iCloud BUT bookmarks and reading positions are NOT sync'ed anymore across my Macbook, iPhone and iPad.

Actually, upon further inspection, Reminders is syncing, just iBook is having the issue.

Some updates since my original post:

    • I think I was probably mistaken when I said the syncing had initially worked after upgrading to 9.3 on both devices.  I now think it's more likely that I hadn't read anything in iBooks for the first few days after the upgrade and so didn't notice the lack of syncing until the day I posted.
    • Like others here, my Reminders are syncing fine.  As are my Notes.
    • I spent about 90 minutes on the phone yesterday with AppleCare Phone Support, both Tier 1 and Tier 2.  They had no solution, so the issue has now been referred to "Engineering".  I was told it would be at least a few days before I heard back from them.

I'll post another update when/if they get back to me.

Same issue here, too--although it was definitely working for a few days after updating two of the three devices that are having issues. But it stopped a couple of days ago.

Thanks for talking to Apple about it, too!

    So frustrating.

The same here. It does not sync bookmarks between any devices. I deleted all books and placed them again with iTunes in both, iPhone and iPad. And it does not work. It was perfect before updating IOS 9.3

Didn't help me.  I updated both devices and the books still aren't syncing.

After updating to iOS 9.3.1, try logging out then in  iTunes & App Store of all devices, and check it.  If still not syncing, log out then in of iCloud (its a pain) on all devices.....

If not, I was getting help from @AppleSupport on Twitter.  You can Direct Message them with your issue, they are great about responding.  Be sure to describe the issue and provide them with the specific device info and iOS info.....

    Hope it works!!

    Thanks for the heads up!

Well, that has partially helped me. One of my devices looks pretty good now--it's definitely synced some stuff that it hadn't been syncing a couple hours ago. But my iPhone isn't syncing at all. No bookmarks, notes, or a new collection I created yesterday. And it's not moving books to the proper collections. :\

I tried the suggested logging out/in and that also did not help.  Still no syncing.

Unfortunately, my syncing is still not working after the update. I tried logging out, etc.
