You need to run ‘ColorFinale’ from the main /Applications folder in order to register the bits with the new OS (likely because you've just updated). Close FCP before doing this.

I'm using the new Mac Pro with latest version of El Capitan, FCP X and Color Finale. I've used it many times in the past with no trouble, so this is a recent thing.
