Use a piece of string to wrap around your wrist, lightly. Mark from the end of the string to other part that marks the circumference of your wrist. Then stretch the string on a ruler. This is much easier if you have paper yard stick such that tailors and seamstresses use.

Here a link to Apple's Watch Sizing Guide (in PDF form) to help you determine the watch band options once you measure you wrist using string or a flexible sewing ruler-tape, as suggested above.

My wrist is fairly large (200mm), which is the "maximum" size shown for the Milanese Loop model that I bought. I was worried it would be tight, but it's very comfortable. I also bought a separate Sport Band, and Apple's stated "size ranges" seem a little more restrictive than reality. If you're still in doubt, you might try one on at an Apple Store, too.

This PDF is out of date.

The online version of the Apple Watch Sizing Guide was recently removed from Apple's website.

To check the length of all presently available bands and accessories - including the Woven Nylon Band and the Link Bracelet Kit - check Apple's website:

    http://www.apple.com/shop/watch/bands

Band lengths are specified on each band's product page (in the Overview, within Product Information).

Thanks for the info, Jonathan UK. While that PDF is still on Apple's site per the link, the band sizes have changed. It's unfortunate that people have to visit multiple pages to compare models/sizes, though; the all-in-one guide was convenient.

To clarify: the PDF is no longer linked to from the Apple website.

It is an outdated document that remains indexed by search engines.
