Q: Question burn OSX in flash drive or DVD

Hello ... I get off the Mavericks and Yosemite area des of App Store downloads ...
Since we wanted them on a flash drive. For that use the app:
http://diskmakerx.com/
http://mecambioamac.com/instalacion-limpia-de-os-x-yosemite/

In this difference of icons / colors should be ... X Yosemite comes to big ....

I also did the same but on DVD.
I read:
After opening the Finder window that will show us the content, copy the desktop (for example) the "InstallESD.dmg" file located in the "Contents \ SharedSupport" folder.
Burn that file with Disk utlidad but I get this:

Does not work ... it seems ... I only charge that when I insert the DVD folder ... I do wrong?

Here's the official sequence for building a bootable flash drive for OS X — I've been using that Apple-provided tool for a couple of releases now, and the resulting USB devices are bootable.

Thanks, that serves to make bootable drives, such as a flash drive but Dvd?

This is the basic syntax of the command. Replace volumepath with the path to your USB flash drive or other volume, and replace installerpath with the path to the Install OS X app.

Here i put the Dvd ? The name of Dvd ?

I've been testing the program commented...
With DiskMaker X 5.0.3 I can do pendrive and "Another kind of disk" I do not understand how to make a DVD with this option.
Only DiskMaker version 2.0.2, allows to make DVD's to Mountain Lion.
How to Create Dv'd newer versions of OSX?
    Thank you

The previously-cited instructions are for a USB flash device bootstrap.   Those are intended for a USB keydisk or some other external sector-addressable storage device.  Which is what was requested — flash or DVD — and flash is what I use.

USB flash drives can boot on any Mac system that'll run recent OS X.  Hold the option key at boot to select a different boot device.

If you require DVD, then DVD DL media and a DL-capable device are required for any recent OS X release.  From a quick search with a web search engine, there are instructions for a DVD boot posted as well as some previous discussions around here.  Read the whole thread, too.

Having done more than a little low-level work with DVD, I try to avoid that format for digital data content — it's exceedingly slow to use, and drive errors and disk media errors are far too common.  Optical mostly works for audio and video, but — even for those more data-loss-tolerant formats — it's less reliable and more prone to media rot than I'd prefer.

Thanks I will use this method.

Another thing I realized I did with a pen drives DiskMaker X OSX (Mavericks and Yosemite) I get off the area OSX downloads from the AppStore ... makes me installation but then put me all in English .. .the initial setup in English ... when I put ends preferences Spanish ... but there is something very concrete in English. For example the name of the day we are. I get up right in English. And it is not changed ... or putting Italian OSX ... shown in English ... that may be the reason for the problem?

... I will use the method Apple.
