Q: El Capitan updated and now FCPx is very slow!

I did the update to the OS on my iMac 5k and now FCPx is running really slow.  It's a 4 ghz with 24 gigs of ram.  It was pretty snappy before the update.

Anyone else having the same issue?

Thanks

I solved the issue by removing all plugins that El Capitan & FCPX does not support. Of course this is a bad solution for folks who want to use plugins on Logic Pro X as well as FCP X. What is apple doing to their OS & software products testing these days. They seem to have completely lost their grip.

AApple writes the API. It's up to the developers to conform to it, not for Apple to test for them or write software that supports them. This tyexway it always worked. New OS almost always requires plugin rewrites. Have you checked with the developers t see if there are updated versions?
