Q: Thunderbolt Display

Hi,

 

I've a Mid 2011 iMac and a Early 2015 Retina Macbook.

 

I want my iMac to be a target display, i bought a thunderbolt cable and when i press Command + F2, nothing happen.

 

Any suggestion?

With correct cable and display...

• Use your iMac as a display with Target Display Mode - Apple Support

 

According to details in the article about the cable & specifications, the

12-inch MacBook Retina and the iMac 2011 you have will not work in

Target Display Mode due to the lack of Thunderbolt support in MacBook.

So as he said, it won't work...
