Q: Touch ID stops working consistently after latest update?
I have an iPhone 5S with Touch ID. It has always worked flawlessly until the latest update 9.3.0. It now works 50% of the time and only with my index finger, never with my thumbprint. I've tried resetting the phone and rescanning my thumbprints after which it works the first time I use it and then stops working requiring my passcode. I've read others complaints regarding this same issue to which Apple's solution is to completely reset the phone. Did that and it continually quits working after a second attempt to unlock my phone. I see there are no updates to address this issue. I'm irritated that after spendinf $800 on this phone I expect the features that attracted me to it, to keep working. I'm over the high cost of a new iPhone and I'm ready to go to a Samsung for my next smartphone. The Apple updates are constant and none address operational issues that occur after installing the updates.
