Apr 4, 2016 3:08 AM in response to seventy oneby RebekkahRoseRyan,Yes. I appreciate your kindness. Because you two didn't get offended when I didn't understand your replies, you have helped me greatly. Thanks. I am so pleased with my decision to go all Apple, but there is a learning curve for me from Windoze based units to OS X based devices. It's been fun for the most part. I don't remember where I learned about the communities, but except for one experience - it has been fun. I am moving soon and need to save multiple e-mails from a server to which I will be losing access. A senior adviser from Apple Support told me how to move my e-mails into On My Mac in Mail, but he told me I had to drag each individual one into the folder I created. After following his directions for about 100 e-mails, I tried going up to Edit and choosing select all. WOW! It worked. Then I could drag everything in the folder into my newly created folder in the On My Mac section of Mail. Wish he had told me this was an option. I thought the File and Edit options were only available in Pages. In 5 Minutes I was able to move my 1000+ e-mails into my newly created folders in On My Mac in Mail. Best Regards to seventy one

Apr 4, 2016 5:41 AM in response to RebekkahRoseRyanby seventy one,There is another way, Rebekkah,
Click on one mail which will highlight it, then move your finger to cmd button and you can then move down the page highlighting all the other mails. Then on the last mail, click and drag to the folder and you will find all the highlighted ones will move at the same time. When you have some time just practice doing this moving things back and forth, it will soon become second nature.
Regards, 71.

Apr 4, 2016 5:52 AM in response to seventy oneby RebekkahRoseRyan,I did try to find a way to select all the mails, but nothing I tried worked. I just tried your suggestion. Since most of what I needed to move were located in individual folders, using select all allowed me to move everything from one folder to the next. I just tried your suggestion, and I discover that I can select specific mails using the command key. This way I don't have to move everything in the remaining folder. This is a great tip. Thanks. Since I am new to Apple, I still don't know much about using control, option, and command keys. I have another key to the left of the control key that has 'fn' on it. I have no idea what it will do. Do you know what that key will accomplish? Any tips are greatly appreciated. The tutorial at the beginning of setting up my iMac 21.5 is unable to be found by me. Perhaps it contained this information, but since I don't know how to access it, it is lost to me. Best Regards, RRR

Thanks CCC. Appreciate the directions. Have printed them out and will follow them as guidelines to help me retain a sense of humor. I don't respond well when CS tell me I'm stupid when I know I am not. Thanks for the encouragement. I see you have Dallas as location. I lived in Richardson when I was in High School. Never heard anyone use "y'all" 'til we moved there. After a community member implied I was stupid, I almost decided this was not a safe place. I don't want to stoop to Barry's level, but it took me several days to calm down after his rude comment to my attempt to help a fellow community member. Can you tell me how to find a community member who posted a review about a peripheral device at the Apple.com/store?
You're welcome.
Like any "workplace", there are many personalities - some on the grumpy side, I fear.
Richardson: Pierce High? (I am OLD! Pierce was New when I was in HS)
You will need to tell me what "peripheral" specifically - a timeframe would be VERY helpful - do you remember the userName?
